Leverage
Im reading Andrew Ross Sorkin’s riveting account of the recent great financial crash, which is set out like a thriller and is very exciting – even if you kind of know what’s coming. The mind-boggling ineptitude of bankers is a real eye-openeer. They might be all smart suits and reserved attitudes, but that’s all a front. Basically, none of them know what’s going on!
Anyway, It’s made me think a lot about the power of leverage. I’ve put a lot of effort into setting up and maintaining my www.shoo-tube siteso that my videos will play in schools and libraries, behind firewalls that block Youtube. Well, I’ve decided that the considerable amount of extra time that I take adding videos to shoo-tube, just isn’t worth the effort. I stopped a couple of weeks ago to see what happened and no body seems to have noticed, so I am putting all my effort into the Youtube site and leverage the power of Youtube properly.
I’m now working on another crackpot idea, news of which soon, which will leave me even less time to spend on multiple drawing school sites.
I’d love to keep on with shoo-tube, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the education system is going to have to stop being quite so antsy and accept that Youtube is the greatest education tool ever invented by man and has a rightful place in schools.
