See inside my USA Sketchbook

I went to the USA for the last couple of weeks in September. I call it a holiday you may call it a vacation. We went to New York for a few days then to a wedding outside Boston – then we had a few days on Cape Cod with wind and rain, thanks to Hurricane Jose!

I had done so much drawing for books I was working on before I left, I didn’t do a lot of drawing while I was away – It was, after all, a holiday!

Have a look at what I did and see a few of the many sights I saw while I was away.

How to draw a table

This is the first of five videos showing you how to draw tables. Basically, tables fit into boxes – if you sketch out the box first, the table will fit neatly inside.
Four more posts on how to draw tables follow!

Draw a Dining Table (Draw Tables #2)
Draw a Round Dining Table (Draw Tables #3)
Draw a Small Round Table (Draw Tables #4)

Looking for things to draw in the Science Museum

I went to London twice a few weeks ago. The second time was to sit on the Children’s Writers and Illustrator’s Group – (CWIG) – at the Society of Authors, which is like the writer’s trade union, I suppose.

I had a bit of time to nip into the Science museum on the Way, As I’d heard that they had bought the British Astonaut, Tim Peake’s Soyuz Space ship – for an undisclosed sum – and that it had gone on display just that morning. So, While I was there, I thought I would film a load of things to give me ideas for what to draw on future videos. What do you think? Do they give you ideas?
