Betty loves making signs, she even sets up her own shop to sell them. But will Tacky Tim’s Sign Superstore put her out of business?
Easy text for beginners and learners.
Playful word images helping to tell the story.
I was a signwriter many years ago, so this story comes from the heart and is one of my favourites. I think it is quite unusual. In preparing the video, I realise that business quite often comes into my stories. I think I want children to know that most stuff happens because of the enterprise of people who get up and do things!
I have started my new Story Channel – Learn English Through Story and have just uploaded the first video actually made for the channel.
Please see the new channel, subscribe and watch some videos – I need to get to 1000 subscribers and 10,000 hrs watched to get a proper channel link.
It’s a Viking Vik Story – Freya has challenged Vik and Wulf to a contest. They have to eat the most disgusting things she can find. But will Wulf eat his fill fairly and squarely, and will Vik triumph in the end?
Viking Vik stories are written for newly confident readers, with high story interest and easy text. Follow along with the story as I read the story.
You can support this channel and get advertising free versions of this video and a pdf ebook download of the book when you support this channel on Patreon see here for details
Join amazing childrens’ author, Viv French, and wonderful storyteller, Renita Boyle and myself on Saturday when we will be creating a story LIVE! with your help.
So, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
It’s not just the audiences who are missing the Wigtown Book Festival this year – the authors are missing the audiences too!
In this fun-filled family hour, three of Wigtown’s most devoted and adored children’s authors take on the 60-minute book challenge. That’s right! Taking up their roles as author (Vivian French), illustrator (Shoo Rayner) and storyteller (Renita Boyle) they battle towards creating, illustrating and telling a story based on Wigtown in just one hour. But they need your help – tune in to help shape the story and make your mark on Big Wig history.
How on Earth are we going to do it when we are in completely different parts of the country? Tune in to find out!
