I do like Derwent watercolour paper. It’s nice and heavy at 300gsm or 140 lbs.

It has a very smooth surface. I’ve found it great for pencil ink and watercolour.

You can get traditional watercolour paper with texture, but I find that is difficult to scan and, as I’m mainly a book illustrator, I like a smooth finish to my paper.
