• Something about being by the seaside made me want to get fish and chips tonight. So I walked the mean streets of Llandudno and got into Tribells just before they closed.

That’s when I realised that the tomato sauce sachet must be one of the worst designs ever.

When you get it to tear down the “tear here” line, the plastic tightens up, so it becomes impossible to tear off a corner. You then have to squeeze the sauce out in a random direction, usually over the table. When you do get the sauce out, it is never enough.

There must surely be a better way of serving portions – I’m not sure about the little paper cups and the press squirt dispenser system either.

  • Argh! Just lost this post, somehow, so I’ll have write a new one. Not quite so easy on the iPhone. Without a decent north south road in Wales it seemed to take forever to get here.

I went foraging for a rather good curry. The seagull In the picture wasn’t so lucky. That’s what happens when you eat chips in the street.

The old Palladium is now a Wetherspoons. Maybe I’ll look in tomorrow. The horizon across the bay is filled with wind tubines, which are quite beautiful when the setting sun lights them up.

I couldn’t walk past the display in the window of the Little Deli and take a pic of the cakes in the window. Quite scrummy!

  • I guess the frogs need to do a lot of croaking and a lot of wooing before they get around to spawning. I’m off to visit two schools in Rhyl in North Wales today, so I’ll probably miss all the fun!

I was surprised to see tadpoles in an infant class this week. They must breed their frogs more sturdily in the Welsh Valleys!
