Olympia Layouts – Rough Sketches

This video shows the layout galley proofs that I use to work out where the illustrations are going to go in my new book Olympia – Run like the wind.

The drawings are very rough, but they provide the skeleton of the final drawing, in their final position, so I know exactly how the drawing will fit. These drawing are now with my editor, who will check them over and make any suggestions if she feel the story can be illustrated better or if she thinks I’m not making something clear. When I get the all clear from her, I’ll start on the finished artwork. Meantime, I need to finish writing book three! This is a bit of a production line and I have to keep my wits about me as to which book I’m working on.

Olympia Covers – Finished Artwork

The cover artwork for my new series, Olympia is finished and being scanned by my publishers at the moment. Meanwhile I’m nearing the end of writing book two and I’m expecting layouts for book one any day to go to pencils. This is going to be a real production line year for me! Lucy I’m reading lots of business method books in bed at night at the moment!
