What’s it like to be an author?

https://youtu.be/hQtYCMvbX2Y

I visited St Paul’s Primary School in Gloucester recently, and some of the children still had questions to ask when our time was up. I Asked their teacher Mrs Bevan, to send me an email with the questions I hadn’t answered and promised to make a video for her and her class 5.

Having made the video, I though I might share it with my subscribers and viewers too!

I mention that Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak, is my favourite book. I made a video explaining why here: https://youtu.be/sH4sYranmbg

How to draw Cartoons with Grey Scale Watercolour

https://youtu.be/_WDNuvoAcbs

I was wondering what to draw when I saw a tweet that read: “As much as I love birds, they don’t seem to like me. Last year I got attacked by a crow & today multiple geese chased me down the canal…” That seemed like a good thing to draw

I met Sanne – whose youtube channel is http://www.youtube.com/Booksandquills – in 2011, when we both won the YouTube NextUp Competition. Sanne was then at University in Holland, but nowadays I bump into her at publishing events as she is now working in London in publishing.
