My immediate reaction was to think, “Oh yes! There the plot for book 4 in the series!”
A little though and I realised that wasn’t going to happen, so I made Mr Bonus, the Latvian village shop keeper and Walkers business inspiration, look a little softer around the eyebrows. I think it make him look a bit like Lemmy from Motorhead!

I’ve since changed a few other illustrations as I noticed inconsistencies with the text as I went through the final edit with illustrations in place. Of course I should have noticed before I did the artwork!

All you have to do is watch the two videos, “How to draw Pandora” and “How to draw Pandora’s box” and send me your own drawing based on the videos, elaborating your drawings, using your imagination and interpretation of the story of Pandora, and what you think may be hidden in her box.
There will be a prize for the drawing that Shoo Rayner likes the best – It is entirely his personal choice and his decision is final. The closing date is 4:00 pm London time Friday 7th December 2018 and the winner will be announced on 4:00 pm London time Monday 10th December in the compilation and celebration video.
The prize is a signed, limited, first-edition copy of Pandora, including the book, warning wrapper, inspirational poster and a sealed message from Pandora – there were only 100 copies printed in the first edition, so it is quite rare!
The competition is free to enter and open to all ages – interpretation, style and ideas are scored as much as technique.
Take your time, watch the videos and make your drawing. Then send a scan or digital photograph to drawings@shoorayner.com adding your name and age.
Children under the age of 13 must have their parent or guardian’s permission. If under 13, please state clearly on your email, that your parent, carer or guardian has given you permission to enter, otherwise entry email will be deleted.
