It would have been Frank Sinatra’s Birthday today, were he still alive. This is a fact that has been pointed out to me several times by @cardsharkington, a very long-time subscriber and possibly the most frequent commenter on my videos. He’s been asking me to do Frank Sinatra for a long time, so here he is!
This is way out of my comfort zone, so it’s just a bit of fun. I normally paint it at an angle to the table so I could see what I was doing. To be able to film, I need to have the paper flat, which means the water doesn’t run as I’m used to and I can’t get a proper view of what Im doing!
The Jazzy music is thanks to Epidemic Sound Bebop Cats 02 by John Åhlin and New York Minute 02 and 03 by Håkan Eriksson

This video was requested by YouTuber, portal2canttouchtis, who asked me to show how to draw a crow. I thought I would do better than that, I’d show you how to paint one too! It took much longer than I thought it would, so I split the video into two parts. Part one shows how to draw the crow and part two shows how I painted it with a running commentary on my thought process, choosing colours and styles of applying paint.
I hope you like this. If you do, let me know and also let me know if you would like me to do something on my monday videos on the ShooRayner channel on YouTube.
This tutorial shows you how to draw a Whale and colour it in using watercolours and and Pentel Aquash pait brushes, which I have just discovered. you can see my review of them here.
If you are thinking of trying them out, please use the US or UK Amazon links below and help support my videos, thanks! You might also like to try Derwent Aquatone crayons that you can draw with or use as watercolours, washing in the colour once it is on the paper. I used tehse a lot at the pencil museum.
