Everyone Can Draw – Introduction Part 2

Did you watch part one? Have you got a piece of paper and a pencil? Then watch this video. Watched it? Was that easy – or was that easy? Truly, if you can write, then you can draw. Take your time and work slowly though this course. It is not a race, even though you may be hungry to gain all the knowledge on offer here. Try and do a little bit every day, just to keep your hand and brain talking to each other. This is how skills are learned. Try to finish every thing you start – this will help you build confidence. Don’t worry if you don’t become Michaelangelo overnight! Michaelangelo had to go through the same process of learning and understanding. Learn one thing at a time and practice it until you are sure you understand. Look at your work, decide what might be wrong. Work out why it’s wrong and how you can get it right next time – maybe even practice redrawing the line a few times, the same way a sportsman practices a shot they missed with their bat or racket. Then, look for something really good in your drawing, however small, and congratulate yourself. Finish in a positive mood and then move on to the next lesson.
