Continuing this weeks How to draw Cetaceans theme, here’s a video showing you how to draw the Unicorn of the sea. The Narwhal’s tusk is actually an extended incisor tooth. Very rarely, a Narwhal can have two tusks. Male’s tend to have the really long tusks. Some females don’t have them at all while the others are usually much shorter than the male’s tusks.

I’m drawing Cetaceans all this week – starting with the Bottle-nosed Dolphin. Having been doing so much research on Ancient Greek drawing recently, I’ve learned from the ancients, who had refined the art of drawing dolphins into a few simple strokes of the brush.
