• I wanted a document camera for many reasons: For drawing demonstrations live and over the web and also to use as an art tracer in conjunction with a small lcd projector.

This video is an unboxing and testing out of the cameras abilities when connected to an iMac ( Mid 2010) 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3

The higher the resolution the more “wavy” becomes the motion when demonstrating with hands under the camera. I found the lowest resolution was fine just for demonstration purposes and webcam. The high resolution is great for still images. I particularly like the Exposure lock so light levels don’t veer all over the place when you place hands under the camera.

All in all very pleased with it. It’s chunky, heavy and very well built.

You can but them from Amazon here in the USA

    and here in the UK:

I get a payment if you buy, but you do not pay any extra by following this link. Your purchase helps to fund this channel – many thanks.

  • Continuing my Help-Me-Draw-A-Clock series – here is number three.

YouTubers Kendal C and wislingsailsman both suggested I draw bees. Others have suggested that I draw a cloud, so this is a mashup – a cloud or swarm of bees. Its a very busy drawing – but then that’s what bees are all about – busy, busy, busy!

  • So – you can see the pictures in your head, but you can’t draw them?

Well, it’s like having a story in your head, but you never learned your ABC and never developed a vocabulary with which to tell the story.

You can’t draw what’s in your head because you either don’t try or have never learned the language of drawing. You have to make a lot of mistakes and have a lot of failures to get better, and failure is something we hate.

Be brave draw, draw, draw and then draw some more. Make mistakes, but learn from them and build your language of drawing.

Learn the vocabulary of drawing so that you can put shapes, lines, shades and colours together to let the world know what is going on inside your head!
