• I’m really looking forward to visiting Guernsey next week for Children’s Book Week. I’ve not been before. I think my preconceptions of the island are all built on the TV series Bergerac, which was set on Jersey. I’m sure Guernsey will turn out to be very different.

I do enjoy visiting islands. Every island I’ve visited has a definite character all of its own. See you next week!

I’ll be doing a public session at the Grammar School 6.30 – 7.30 on Wednesday 6th October. Please come along – see you there!

  • My great readers, James and Kirsten Newton have made me a wordsearch out from characters form my books. How brilliant is that? They say that I can share their work with you all, so click here or click the picture to get a full size printout.

I thought I’d put this on my site a long time ago. I did all the work but never made links. Sorry James and Kirsty, you have been waiting very patiently. No excuses other than that I’ve been very busy finishing my artwork for the new Axel Storm series, which I hope you will read in time too!

  • It’s so wet today. However, I’ve been to the opticians this morning for an eye test and I thought I would amuse you all with a picture of me wearing the weird test spectacles you wear while having your eyes tested.

This might brighten up a gloomy day a little bit.
