• QUATRAIN

This is my fourth word of the day, so I’ve chosen a word that has something to do with four.

A Quatrain is a four line piece of verse. Usually the rhymes alternate, like so:

I must go down to the sea again,
To the lonely sea and the sky.
I left my shoes and socks down there
and I hope that they are dry.

The word quatrain comes from quarter, which is one fourth of something whole.

  • FOLLOWING

This is my second word of the day, following my first word of the day.

Following is something that comes after, so I might say – The following is a list of dog foods: Chappie – Pal and Chum.

Following on from that list I might want to add a list of cat food.

Following is something that happens after or behind.

A group of of fans are called a following because they follow their idol. X factor winners have a large following.
