Youtube, @ChaosTool, contacted me and told me they’d been on a course for 3d artists but they found it difficult thinking in a 3d modelling mode.

They said, “ Maybe they just have to get used to it and practice it and start thinking differently about art in 2d so they could be better at 3d modelling.”

They finished with a plaintive call…

“How can you be sure that you’re doing the right thing while also not abandoning the right things?”

You can’t be sure – life offers you many paths and you have to choose which one based on knowledge, and experience. But one thing can keep you to the best path – almost certainly the the fastest route – love! Yep, do what you love best and you will succeed in the end.

By all means dabble in other media, try things out and learn from your experiences, then bring that back to the thing you love best and do it even better.

Soon you will be a master of your own style and not a follower of someone else’s.
