• Did you watch part one? Have you got a piece of paper and a pencil? Then watch this video. Watched it? Was that easy – or was that easy? Truly, if you can write, then you can draw. Take your time and work slowly though this course. It is not a race, even though you may be hungry to gain all the knowledge on offer here. Try and do a little bit every day, just to keep your hand and brain talking to each other. This is how skills are learned. Try to finish every thing you start – this will help you build confidence. Don’t worry if you don’t become Michaelangelo overnight! Michaelangelo had to go through the same process of learning and understanding. Learn one thing at a time and practice it until you are sure you understand. Look at your work, decide what might be wrong. Work out why it’s wrong and how you can get it right next time – maybe even practice redrawing the line a few times, the same way a sportsman practices a shot they missed with their bat or racket. Then, look for something really good in your drawing, however small, and congratulate yourself. Finish in a positive mood and then move on to the next lesson.

  • Welcome to my online drawing course, Everyone Can Draw.

Drawing is a skill that you can learn, just the same way you learned to draw letters and then learned to write words, when you were young. You may not be a great novelist or poet, but you can write.

Once you have the basic knowledge of drawing, you can build on the foundation. If you want to be an artist, the ability to draw will give you the freedom to be creative.

If you don’t aspire to be a great artist, that’s fine – it is allowed! Drawing is a great hobby – it is cheap, relaxing and rewarding.

Being able to draw will help you understand this increasingly visual world, and you will have developed an amazing skill that will help you visualise and clearly communicate your ideas.

The ability to draw is prized in many walks of life. You will also amaze your friends and gain their admiration for something they think is magical, but you will know that it just took a bit of work and practice.

Watch this introductory videos to get started, then go on to the intro.

  • Learn to draw a WWI Biplane. Sort of based on a sop with Pup, because I drew the airframe of one earlier this year – see my sketchbook – https://youtu.be/sUii48gMaHA

This tutorial shows you the structure of a biplane and how to draw your own. See more WWI WWI Drawing videos here: http://bit.ly/WWI_Drawing_Videos

Tip: you can use the space bar to stop and start the video to keep up with the drawing. You can always watch through again if you find it a bit complicated.
