• Hereford-PollyLast week I visited the Hereford Cathedral Choir School and spent the afternoon with Year 3 – who are mostly 8 years old – showing them how I come up with ideas for stories and characters.

I devised two character’s based on a couple of children who kindly posed for me in their school uniforms. I showed the children how to draw them and you can see their fabulous drawings on the video.

The story we thought up required the children to think of something near at hand they could use to reflect laser beams back at invading monsters! Amazingly, through a door in the hall we were working in, was a smaller room, used for ballet lessons! There was a mirror, Just the perfect size! I love it when things come together like that!

  • Eiffeltower-105x300This is not the easiest thing in the world to draw, but with a bit of practice I worked out the basics to get it looking right. Follow the instructions and see how you do!

  • Celtic-Knot-SmallThe Celktic Knot is an age-old symbol of mystery, trinity and unity. Watch carefully and learn how to draw it.
