• It’s getting close to Hanukkah. I know very little about the Jewish Faith but several people have asked me to draw a Hanukkah Menorah, the 9 stemmed candelabra used at the Hannukah festival of lights. The festival lasts for 8 days with one candle being lit every day. The 9th candle is usually set aside or above the others. It is the candle used for light and for lighting the others. Happy Hanukkah!

  • Noses are really difficult things to draw, but fear not! Somewhere in this series of noses there’s bound to be one that you can use. But drawing noses from the side is the easy bit – maybe I’ll have to do another video showing how to draw them all again from the front! That would really be a challenge!

Click on the picture to download and print out a sheet of all the noses in the video to help you choose which nose you want to draw.

  • HMS Victory was the Flagship of Admiral Lord Nelson, who fought the French at the Battle of the Nile and more famously at the Battle of Trafalgar, where he was shot and fatally wounded. If you go to the maritime museum In Portsmouth, you can go on board and see the very spot where Nelson fell and see what has become almost a shrine to the man below decks where he died.

It’s a magnificent ship and well worth the visit. Here is a somewhat speeded up tutorial showing how I planned and drew the picture.
